Prior to pursuing the practice of law, Kiah performed environmental due diligence investigations of commercial properties throughout the United States.During her time as a consultant, she conducted Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Asbestos Inventories, Moisture Intrusion Inspections, and Property Condition Assessments; she also facilitated storage tank monitoring, closure, and removal in accordance with state regulatory programs.Kiah has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecosystem Science and Policy and Geological Sciences from the University of Miami.She also holds a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology with a concentration in Soil and Water Science from the University of Florida.She earned her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she completed the Environmental Law Certificate Program and served as an Executive Editor of the Law Review.In addition, Kiah is the author of “Seeds of Change: Growing a Solution to Blight in Ohio’s Legacy Communities Through Urban Agriculture,” University of Toledo Law Review, Vol. 47, No. 2 (Winter 2016).She has also served as an editor and research assistant for authors and professors at the University of Miami, the University of Florida, Florida A&M University, the University of Toledo College of Law, and various international universities.
