Overview
Ethan Rozencwaig is an Associate at The Goldstein Environmental Law Firm, where he assists developers, municipalities, communities, and other stakeholders with brownfields redevelopment, contaminated site remediation and reuse, regulatory compliance, and environmental policy. His background in environmental science and consulting informs his approach to the legal, technical, and practical challenges that arise in environmental matters.
Ethan assists with preparing Voluntary Cleanup Tax Credit (VCTC) applications, pursuing Brownfield Area designations, and supporting environmental policy initiatives. He also provides legal research, analysis, and drafting support for air permitting matters, federal and state administrative appeals, and environmental litigation, including claims under Section 376.313, Florida Statutes. His work helps clients address contamination, access redevelopment incentives, navigate regulatory requirements, and return environmentally impacted properties to productive use.
Ethan began working with the Firm as a law clerk after his first two years of law school. These experiences provided a foundation in Florida’s brownfield and environmental regulatory programs and allowed him to contribute to the practice areas in which he now works as an attorney.
Before entering the legal profession, Ethan gained experience in environmental consulting, scientific research, and public communication. This interdisciplinary background helps him evaluate technical information, connect scientific findings with legal requirements, and communicate complex environmental issues clearly. His international experience, including participation in the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, and panels at Peking University Law School in Beijing, China, informs his perspective on evolving environmental policy.
